About Christ Lutheran Church
Rooted in Scripture. Grounded in the Lutheran confessions. Welcoming all who seek the living Christ.
Our Congregation
Christ Lutheran Church is a small, confessional congregation in Cullman, Alabama. We are a community of believers who gather each week to hear God's Word proclaimed, receive His Sacraments, and encourage one another in the faith.
You will find here a people who love God, their neighbors, and fellowship.
What We Believe
We are a confessional Lutheran church, which means our teaching and worship are shaped by the historic Lutheran confessions. These documents faithfully summarize what the Bible teaches.
Holy Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the only norm and judge of all doctrine and practice.
The Lutheran Confessions
We subscribe to the Augsburg Confession, Luther's Small and Large Catechisms, and the other documents of the Book of Concord as faithful expositions of Scripture.
Law and Gospel
We preach the Law in its full severity and the Gospel in its full sweetness. The gospel is this: that sinners are justified by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Moreover, Christ's work is for you!
Word and Sacrament
We celebrate the Lord's Supper and Holy Baptism as true means of grace through which God delivers forgiveness, life, and salvation.
Member of the North American Lutheran Church
Christ Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC), a denomination committed to the authority of Holy Scripture, the historic Lutheran confessions, and the Great Commission.
The NALC was founded in 2010 by Lutherans who sought to remain faithful to the historic Christian faith. We are in fellowship with Lutheran churches around the world who share this commitment.
